The Day of Infamy
-The Day of Infamy refers to December 7th, 1941 when Japan attacked the Pearl Harbor, causing the United States to enter into World War II
- Why do we call this the "Day of Infamy"? Because when Franklin D Roosevelt was addressing his speech and declaring to congress that we are going to war with Japan, he had said "Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."
